ICC2021 will be organized as a hybrid conference from Tuesday, December 14 – Saturday, December 18, 2021.
In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all measures will be taken to promote social distancing and to avoid spreading the contagion.

In order to comply with the different COVID-19 restriction applied around the world, Participants who want to attend the conference in person but are unsure whether or not they will be able to travel are given the opportunity to register with the Remote fee and ask to change their registration to In Person fee by 25 November 2021.
In order to proceed with the change, please enter the platform using login credentials received, click on the “Additional Services” icon, and select the difference in fee to pay based on your registration category
PLEASE NOTE: only the change from Remote to In Person attendance will be allowed, no reimbursement will be provided to participants that will request the change from In Person to Remote attendance without proven motivations (i.e. occurred travel restrictions from the country of origin)
COVID-19 And Measures For Entry To 30th International Cartographic Conference
In order to attend in person the ICC 2021, all participants will be requested to:
- present at the entrance of the conference venues their EU Covid certificate (Green Pass or equivalent certificate of vaccination) + the Security QR Code that will be provided by the University of Florence by email one week before the Conference. In absence of both this certifications, access will not be allowed
- wear their protection mask inside the conference venues at any time
- keep the 1 meter safety distance from other participants and 2 meters safety distance during coffee refreshments
Organizing secretariat and conference venues staff will carefully monitor that these safety rules will be respected by everyone

Registration fee for in-person attendance includes:
Access to the scientific sessions from 14 to 18 December, certificate of attendance, congress bag, access to Exhibition and Poster Area, access to the Opening Ceremony at Salone de’ Cinquecento-Palazzo Vecchio, access to International Maps Exhibition at Galleria delle Carrozze, access to coffee station.
Registration fee for remote attendance includes:
Access to the scientific sessions from 15 to 18 December, certificate of attendance.
Replacements of confirmed registrations are subject to a charge of € 30,00 per participant after 22 November 2021.
All the fees are VAT included.
Conference is liable for Italian VAT as it is classed under VAT legislation as “services” and therefore VAT is charged by the services provider (organizers of the conference).
Other Italian institutions and companies subjected to VAT-exemption policies will not be charged VAT provided that they can prove their specific VAT exemption status.

Registration payments must be received before the registration deadline for a certain discounted rate to be applied; if payment is not received before the deadline, the next higher rate will be actually applied
1-day conference registration fees are not available
Registration fees will be refunded only if cancellation is received in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org by 15 November 2021. Cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of € 50.00 + VAT.
For cancellations received after 15 November 2021, no refund will be provided.
